California, The Days of a Thousand Fires

Astrology is a wonderful tool for studying weather conditions because these continue over a period of days, and sometimes for several weeks. Therefore, because of the longer term of events, the astrological cause can be determined without a shadow of a doubt. The weekend of June 21, 2008 created conditions of dry lightening which started thousands of fires in Northern California. By June 28 there were more than 1000 fires burning in California.

We were on vacation in Yosemite, Sonora Pass, Nevada, and Lake Tahoe where the atmosphere was saturated with smoky haze, the extent of which had not been seen in human memory. Local people, tourists, and Park Rangers were amazed at the magnitude of the smoke and pollution.

Earlier this year we experienced several early Spring fires in both Northern and Southern California. In general the early part of the year was extremely wet. Then the rain stopped abruptly. Following this all was dry and warm during the day; but extremely cold at night. Then there occurred record shattering heat waves, which, in hindsight, seem to have been a prelude to this monstrous natural outbreak. What appeared to be very unusual, was the appearance of a stationary Low Pressure area off the coast of Northern California which prevented the jet stream and the customary west winds from clearing the gigantic build-up of smoke in the atmosphere. This stagnant Low was a direct result of the position of Mars in conjunction with Saturn quartile (90 degrees) to the California Coast. Saturn occupied this aspect for several months, which accounted for the very cold nights of Spring. Saturn was also a contributing factor of the sudden drought like conditions.

The astrological cause was quite simple to determine:

Mars & Saturn were in close conjunction and at right-angle to California

Moon & Jupiter were 60 degrees in relation to California

All the other Planets were supporting the above configurations

It would be of great scientific benefit, if we were able to utilize the above information to be able to predict when these fires might subside, and when these conditions might finally come to an end. It would be foolish to hazard a prediction -but one can say with assurance that on July 6, 2008; that Mars, Saturn, and the Moon will all be in conjunction together. These heavenly bodies were the original cause of these fires. Yet, their position on this future date is a little more in an easterly direction to California. This would certainly be a date to keep under close observation, and advise people to be a bit more careful than usual.
